Business Profile and Philosophy

I consider myself a true Yankee. Born in Portsmouth, N.H., a Masters degree from the University of New Hampshire, home ownership in both Portsmouth and formerly Kittery Point, Maine. In fact my family has been a presence on the seacoast since the early 1700's.

Because of these deep community roots, I typically list and sell property in Portsmouth, south to the Massachusetts border, inland to the greater Durham/Dover area and north to the Berwicks and York, Maine. In fact, I began my career as a Maine agent, based in York.

Over the last few years, I have been involved with the entire spectrum of real estate from starter homes to horse farms, luxury condominiums and ocean front estates. I have also had the privilege of representing some of the area's finest antique historic homes.

Regardless of the scope of a transaction, I offer and enjoy giving everyone the same Tate and Foss Sotheby's International Realty high quality, distinctively professional service. Sellers get the company's comprehensive advertising protocol, state-of-the-art website as well as other custom marketing tools, plus an enhanced presence in, the website of the National Association of REALTORS.

Buyers have the benefit of someone who not only knows the area extremely well, but also has written about it, studied its markets and was a former licensed real estate appraiser. In fact, I am the Seacoast Board of REALTORS Chief Statisician. All of which ensures my customers are well informed when they buy or sell.

My philosophy, whether listing or selling property, mirrors that of Tate and Foss SIR. It begins with mutual respect and a client-centered, highly ethical approach. The company is committed to the highest standards of fairness and full disclosure.

In addition, for me, the ultimate goal is a seamless transaction, professionally negotiated in the spirit of the Golden Rule, attaining the best possible advantage for my customers and clients.
